A latin pig's tale

The account you are about to read is based on a true story... the names and pictures have been changed to protect the innocent (and the guilty). No other facts have been changed.

This is a story about a sick baby with his first real cold... we'll call the baby Adar-ray. Being that this was the first time that Adar-ray had dabbled with being sick, he wasn't sure how to handle it.

If his mommy, we'll call her Eetee-tay, was properly distracting her baby, he was happy. But given some down time (aka the whole night), he found time to reflect on how stuffy and miserable he was and so he decided that this was the best time to express his concerns to his mommy. Last night, after a marathon struggle to get to sleep, Adar-ray finally let mommy Eetee-tay drift off to snoozyland shortly after midnight. At about 2 or 3 am, the dog (who sleeps in the bed and who we'll call Ad-bay Og-day) started scratching and adjusting and scratching and digging and adjusting.

At that particular time, Adar-ray was asleep... mommy Eetee-tay thought to herself, "if it's not one, it's the other!" So finally Eetee-tay reached the end of her rope and threw Ad-bay Og-day out of bed (the bed in this story is too high for the dog to jump back up without help). One minute later, mommy Eetee-tay heard Ad-bay Og-day rummaging around the room and she sat up just in time to catch the dog staring back at her from across the room in a squat position as she peed on the carpet. This sent mommy Eetee-tay flying out of bed, which abruptly woke baby Adar-ray who started crying and the dog rushed, with tucked tail, under the bed to avoid any further consequences for her actions. All were snuggly back to sleep by 4:30 am and Adar-ray was sweet enough to let mommy Eetee-tay sleep until 5am!

Well, I hope you enjoyed the story. Oddly enough, I feel exhausted... must be from telling the story! I hope that poor mommy Eetee-tay gets some more sleep tonight!

Lots of love,
Eetee-tay and Adar-ray

PS - Don't worry... the pug and I made up and all is forgiven. Here are some other today pictures of Radar doing one of his favorite things - eating my fingers!! And yes, my boy IS a chick magnet!!

PSS - Oh, and here's a special "shout out" to Tio Miguel who just graduated from High School and is now onto the big bad land of University life at UWV!!! Behave yourself young man (and that is TOTALLY a "do as I say and not as I did" piece of advice!!!) We love you!

I'm guessing the baby, mommy and dog are all your dad.

It sounds like eetee-tay got what she deserved for throwing a certain flat faced friend out of the bed. I support ad-bay og-day's decision.

you are hilarious christina, firstly i would like to share my deepest sympathies with your lack of sleep you are doing a great job and deserve to be completely grumpyi didn't napolean control his army through sleep deprivation? so .... keep the pug up ! ! would also like to add a bad mothering comment and sincerely apologise for the lateness of the entry. its another car one i'm afraid and i cringe as i write this but i pulled up outside my home on wednesday and went to get harvey out of his seatbelt in his car seat only to find him beautifully tucked in but completely unrestrained!!! he had slumped down so that his head was around his ankles and it still hadn't clicked what i had done ( or in this case , not done!) when i realised, i felt sick to my stomach and i promise i will always check that his seatbelt is done up tight before driving off always xxx anne and harvey
